Dysport

Dysport, like Botox, is an injection proven to help smooth the appearance of moderate to severe frown lines without changing the look or movement of the rest of your face. Untreated muscles still work normally, so you can continue to express feelings naturally. The lines disappear, not your expressions.

Dysport is a neuromodulator that, like Botox, is derived from the botulinum toxin. It works by temporarily paralyzing muscles. When your muscles relax, wrinkles that are formed by repeated muscular contractions are minimized. Dysport, like Botox, is a temporary solution for wrinkles. Results last from 3-4 months, at which point you’ll need a follow-up injection to maintain your smooth look.

DYSPORT FAQs

Dysport is an injectable neurotoxin that disables the nerves at the injection site, limiting muscle movement.

The ideal candidates for Dysport are at least 18 years old, in good general health, and dissatisfied with dynamic wrinkles such as frown lines and crow’s feet. Dysport is a powerful anti-aging treatment that works well for both men and women.

You should wait at least 90 full days between Dysport injections.

You’ve got better things to do than think about what your frown lines look like. Dysport may help improve the look of lines for up to 4 months. Most patients see improvement in 2–3 days after treatment, but 2 weeks for final results.

The most frequent side effects are nose and throat irritation, a headache, injection site discomfort, skin reactions at the injection sites, upper respiratory tract infection, eyelid swelling or drooping, sinusitis, and nausea.

There is one important difference between Dysport and Botox; they are dosed differently. For example, 50 units of Botox does not equal 50 units of Dysport. Your Practitioner at The Spa at Aestique will give you their recommendation on how many units would need to be administered for desired results.
