Dermal Fillers

Juvederm and Restalyne Family of Products

If you want to regain a youthful or less tired appearance, or if you want to give you lips volume and sculpt them, you might want to try dermal fillers. Dermal fillers are temporary but long-lasting injectable gel implants. Our Physician Assistant and Nurse Practitioner at Aestique Medispa are extensively trained and experienced clinicians performing these procedures. As we age, our skin loses elasticity and moisture. This normal aging process, plus environmental factors like sun exposure, cause different facial lines to form, including moderate to severe lines and folds. Some areas that may be treated with fillers are parentheses near the mouth, vertical lip lines, lip corner lines, and marionette lines.

DERMAL FILLERS FAQs

Juvederm and Restylane are popular dermal fillers injected into the skin to plump and smooth wrinkles. The goal of these treatments is to give the face volume and fullness. Although not all dermal fillers contain hyaluronic acid, Juvederm and Restylane injections include this natural ingredient.

Dermal fillers work by increasing the synthesis of hyaluronic acid in the skin, making it healthier and more youthful. Dermal fillers rejuvenate and increase volume in the skin, reducing signs of aging and giving a natural softer appearance. Dermal fillers are a type of hyaluronic acid gel that is injected into the skin.

If you fit into these criteria, dermal fillers may be a good option for you:

  • You are physically healthy.
  • You don’t smoke.
  • You have a positive attitude and realistic cosmetic objectives for enhancing your appearance.
  • You are committed to maintaining excellent skin health.

The most frequent adverse effects included bruising, edema, redness, discomfort, and tenderness. These symptoms generally subside after one week of treatment.

Every situation is different. One client may require three treatments, while another only requires one. To determine the best custom treatment strategy for your specific requirements and demands, it’s critical to schedule a consultation with our highly experienced clinicians at The Spa at Aestique.

Most patients experience immediate changes after undergoing filler treatment. Following your treatment, you may expect to feel some discomfort and mild swelling for a few days. However, after a few days, the final effect should be more apparent. It only takes ten days for your skin to recover completely.
