What is Upneeq and how does it work?
Upneeq (oxymetazoline hydrochloride ophthalmic solution) is a 0.1% prescription eyedrop used to stimulate Muller’s muscle, a muscle that maintains elevation of the upper eyelid. Using Upneeq once per day, one drop per eye, has been shown to deliver a rapid, visible lift to the upper eyelid. While it won’t produce the more dramatic results of a surgical eyelid lift, you will still see an average of about 1 millimeter of lift in your upper eyelid after their first use.

Who is candidate for Upneeq?
Upneeq is ideal for people who have droopy or low-lying eyelids caused by mild, moderate, or severe eyelid ptosis.
Are there any side effects with Upneeq?
The most common side effects documented occurred in 1-5% of patients based on clinical studies. These were eye inflammation, eye redness, dry eye, blurred vision, eye discomfort at time of use, eye irritation, and headache.
Warnings and Precautions:
• Alpha-adrenergic agonists as a class may impact blood pressure. If you have cardiovascular disease, orthostatic hypotension, and/or uncontrolled hypertension or hypotension, seek medical care if your condition worsens.
• Use with caution if you have cerebral or coronary insufficiency or Sjogren’s syndrome. Seek medical care if signs and symptoms of potentiation of vascular insufficiency develops.
• May increase the risk of glaucoma if you have untreated narrow-angle glaucoma. Seek immediate medical care if signs and symptoms of acute narrow-angle glaucoma develops.
*Do not touch the tip of the single patient-use container to your eye or to any surface to avoid eye injury or contamination of the solution.

How do I get Upneeq?
You will need to come in for a complimentary evaluation by one of our medical providers to be sure you are a candidate.
How do I apply Upneeq?
Step 1: Cut open the foil wrapper and remove the single-use vial.
Step 2: Apply one drop of Upneeq in each eye as directed, once a day. If you wear contacts, put drops in 15 minutes before contacts.
Step 3: Wait and watch the magic start to happen within 15 minutes! Peak time is 2 hours, and it can last 8-10 hours.
