Microblading & Permanent Makeup

Aestique Medispa welcomes you to discover the freedom of natural-looking permanent cosmetic makeup and microblading. Just think, no more reapplying makeup after swimming, jogging, exercising, or enjoying your favorite activity. Permanent makeup/Microblading is waterproof, smudge-proof, and smear-proof! Permanent makeup and Microblading Greensburg, PA are quickly increasing trends in the United States and around the world.

As the name implies, the goal of permanent makeup is to apply makeup to the face permanently, so you never have to struggle with eyeliner or an eyebrow pencil again. Our certified medical esthetician can meticulously tattoo makeup onto the face to create permanent colors on the eye’s upper and lower eyeliner and eyebrows.

Microblading is a semi-permanent makeup treatment for natural-looking brows. You can say goodbye to penciling, dusting, and drawing in your brows and say hello to waking up with perfectly shaped brows.
Brows are touted as one of the most important facial features. With microblading, brows can be created, enhanced, or defined. It can also fill in gaps or add volume to brows that have been over-tweezed or thinned due to age. It is a type of artistry where pigment is implanted under your skin with a manual handheld tool. Fine hair-like strokes are drawn to mimic natural hair. The process creates a 3-dimensional appearance giving shape and definition. The results can last years, but touch-ups may be necessary depending on your skin type.

Consultation and the Drawing of the Desired Makeup Outline At Your Permanent Makeup/Microblading Procedure

The initial procedure appointment will be long due to many important steps. First, we have you fill out forms that we will review thoroughly, including your medical history. We will select pigment colors with your approval, and then the appropriate topical anesthetics will be applied to numb the areas to be tattooed. We will also create a final makeup design with your approval as the template for the medical esthetician to follow during your procedure. After all of the prep work is completed, the tattooing process begins, which may take an hour or more. Before and after photos will also be taken.

Our medical esthetician will ask you to arrive at your consultation with makeup applied so that we can understand your objectives. This representation using traditional makeup is an essential aspect of the process. Once the client is satisfied with the temporary design of the eyebrows or the eyes and has approved it, the permanent application process can begin.

Preparing for Your Procedure Appointment

You will be given preparatory guidelines when you schedule your procedure appointment. We will advise specific steps to follow, such as postponing some skin treatments, taking prophylactic medication, or discontinuing certain medications, vitamins, or herbal supplements. When scheduling your appointment date, you should keep social or work plans in mind. Although there is no downtime during the first few days of healing, your tattooed features will be darker and shiny (from applying ointments), and you will be unable to wear some conventional makeup (e.g., mascara). The length of a procedure varies by type (eyebrows or eyeliner). However, you should allow at least 2-3 hours for your initial appointment.

What Can I Expect After my Permanent Makeup or Microblading

The client is directed to apply an ointment to the area twice a day for five days throughout the recovery process. Applying ointment is essential to ensure the adhesion of the applied pigmentation in the treated areas.

Clients will experience minimal discomfort following an application of permanent makeup. Additionally, many patients are concerned their makeup looks too dark – this is normal. Within the next two weeks, you will see the actual results of the permanent makeup/microblading, which should match your expectations. Feel free to contact us for Touch up makeup if needed.

Microblading/ Permanent Makeup FAQs

The technique of microblading involves semi-permanent tattooing of the eyebrows. By creating an illusion of a fuller brow, microblading can be used on people with little or no eyebrows.

Microblading uses the manual tattoo technique. Tattoo pigment is deposited into the epidermal layer of the skin in tiny hair-like strokes. It is recommended to have a touch-up done every 1-2 years to maintain results because the pigment fades over time.

Microblading can last between 18 and 30 months. You will need a touch-up application when the pigment begins to fade. Depending on your goals and skin type, you may need touch-ups every six months or every year.

No downtime is required after a microblading procedure.

Permanent makeup FAQs

Permanent makeup involves using micropigmentation (tattooing) to enhance the color and shape of your facial features.

Permanent makeup, also called cosmetic tattooing or micropigmentation, is done with the help of a pen that contains black iron oxide to tattoo the skin. Tattoos can mimic eyeliner or lipstick, or they can darken and create the appearance of thicker eyebrows.

Permanent makeup can last anywhere from 18 months to three years. Results may vary.

It takes 25-30 days for the healing process to complete. It is recommended to schedule follow-up appointments 45 days after the initial appointment.
