Contraindications
If you have any one of these things you are not a candidate for the service and need cancelled/rescheduled
- Aspirin allergy, pregnancy, active sunburn, rash or irritated skin, on Accutane use or use within 1 year, MRSA
Precautions
If you have any of the following you may still get the service but must be advised you may be more sensitive and have more chance of a reaction
- Use of Retin-A, Retinols, Glycolics, Acne Medications, Recent waxing, shaving, or laser services, cosmetic procedures Botox/filler within 2 weeks, HIV/AIDS
Prior to Appointment
- Stop use of Retin-A, Retinols, Glycolics, Acne meds 3-5 days
- No cosmetic procedures Botox/Filler/Laser for 2 weeks prior
- No Waxing for 3-5 days prior to appointment
Post Appointment
- This peel requires about 5 days of downtime, you will leave pink/red and may get heavy peeling
- No makeup for 5 days
- The morning after you will cleanse and use full packet of retinol cream that is given to you
- You may cleanse and use hydrating cream that is given to you for 5 days as often as needed
- No not pick off peeling skin
- Do not scrub at skin or exfoliate for 5 days
- Use precaution with sun exposure for 1 week
After 5 days you may slowly resume regular skin care routine
